Seems like we all have the same problem, mud is hard to find and we're all spread out all over the world. I enjoy incorporating "detours" into my trips to check out cool mud spots or nude beaches, hot springs, or all of the above!
I'd like to find and connect with a few members of the community to explore muddy areas with. Are you a like minded guy or girl and want to be able to explore other parts of the world or your own country and find great mud to enjoy with other cool people? Let's get a group together where we get to know each other, plan trips, share expenses, and look out for each other and have a damn good time doing it!
If you're interested, please respond with the basic details about yourself (age/sex/location) and what you're looking for. I'm 30's/m/eastern US. Anyone's welcome as long as you're a chill, decent person!
Just got back from a vacation to the Lake Powell mudflats. Started posting on various forums in the Spring looking for companions. When all was said and done, lots of talk and promises yet none of those who signed on showed up when it came time to hit the road. Hope this works out better for you than previous attempts to do the same have for neI...
Yeah, I'm sure you get lots of people interested but few actually showing up. I get it.
Part of the way I'd like to be more proactive is to actually get to know each other a bit, maybe like a video chat or something, and we can try to all put pins on a map of where we are or where we'd like to go - that kind of stuff
Tell me more about the Lake Powell mudflats! Is this in Nevada?
Lake Powell is 150 miles long and is in both Arizona and Utah. The mudflats are where the Colorado River enters the lake at Hite, Utah. In similar fashion the just as good Lake Mead mudflats are where the Colorado River enters that lake near South Cove, Arizona...
I am generally aware of or have visited most of the good mud areas in the US...
I prefer the bottomless pottery clay quality mud found at quarries with the mudflats I mentioned being the rare exception rather than the rule, therefore, not into other mud so don't really keep up with were to find such...
I personally enjoy hanging out in mudflats (and quarries if I can find one). I haven't done a mud obstacle course, it wouldn't be number 1 on my list, partially b/c I'd rather enjoy mud without much clothing, and those races require it.
Glad to see that there's some positive feedback from everyone! I think the challenge is to build some connections within a group so we can actually get together in search of mud next summer. So let me ask everyone here, what are some suggestions you have to help this to actually work?
I think we should find ways to connect and share deeper (pardon the pun) stories and interests. Possibly maybe doing a video chat eventually. Being out in mud puts us all in a vulnerable place, so it would be good to find some common ground with everyone.
I've made my own Google maps with pins for places I've been and want to go - perhaps we can put something together if people here like that idea. Looking forward to hearing all your thoughts!
Im down with that though it would depend on a time sense i feel some of us in this thread might be in different time zones im EST but dont know about others here.
What kind of virtual chat would you suggest??? Like another messaging app like Skype......or telegram..,....I know video chats are glitchy depending on certain settings and number of people included I'm open for anything really

I'm pretty open, mainly just looking for a way to build some momentum for anyone who wants to plan for a mud trip next summer.
I know I'd prefer to meet someone in a safe setting before planning an adventure together, but with our geography, something IRL is pretty much impossible.

For wintertime mud, there are the mud volcano spas near Cartegena, Columbia. The good one is not the El Totumo one you see most of the video but the other one nearby...
Would love to take a mud trip. Hopefully would like to make that happen next year but can't guarantee I would make it depending on where the trip would be. I'm partnered/AMAB Enby/25. I think my partner may be interested as well. Also love naked mudding and not big on trespassing. Would be cool to maybe find someone with land or a gay camp ground to trip to. I love thick creamy mud that I can wallow and sink into. Not as big of fan of the grainy bits and fairly new to all this. Know a decent spot up here in MA that's a tidal mud spot. It's def stinky has some weeds and sticks and does have crabs. It's a fave of mine I want to explore again, but would love to sink into something even creamy and silkier. I'm on telegram and can def make a Skype to Skype if needed.
Would love to join others for this. Early 50s guy based in SE UK but can travel to US or Europe especially for some mud fun. Prefer to be naked in the mud to fully experience it from head to toe.
I have saved up plenty of vacation time. Very interested in a mud vacation. Let's plan it out and make it happen. Open to travel anywhere, as long as my friends here on UMD will attend.
thanks for your responses. Glad to know that I'm not the only one who likes this idea. Seems like there's a bunch of us from different places around the US & Europe.
I'm going to start by creating a discord sever so anyone interested can chat easier! Please join and introduce yourself there.
